JOB SUMMARY

The focus of this position is to ensure timely and accurate processing of various transactions including reconciliations, state tax remittance preparation, bank account reconciliations, month end close processes, and will provide direct support to the Accountant. You will develop strong communications with all office staff within Energera.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to the following:

Preparing bank deposits
Monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts
Corporate credit card reconciliation
State Tax remittance preparation
General ledger reconciliations
Preparing and entering Journal Entries
Assisting with month end close processes
Preparing ad-hoc projects as required
Assisting with year-end preparations and auditor requests
Administrative accounting tasks as required
Compliance with quality and safety management requirements
Other duties as required from time to time

ABOUT YOU

Minimum 1 year full cycle accounting experience required
A Degree in accounting is a strong asset
A minimum of "intermediate" knowledge in all Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Explorer.
Experience with Microsoft Navision or other relational database ERP systems (JDE, SAP) is a strong asset
Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems in a very fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Always approachable and professional in approach
Able to keep several projects moving forward at once; nothing slips through the cracks
A strong "team player"
Ability to prioritize
Adaptable to change
A commitment to excellence
