Advanced Field Services Engineer PermanentLocation: Ontario / Québec / New Brunswick (Travel up to 20%)About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Field Services Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize automation and control systems across multiple industrial sites. This hands-on position involves troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of DCS and SIS systems. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable technical service, ensuring system integrity, and providing excellent customer support.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade DCS, SIS, and automation systems to ensure optimal performance.Install, service, and repair control and network equipment both on-site and in-house.Configure and administer system domains, controllers, switches, and client-server architectures.Perform preventive maintenance, system audits, and hardware/software upgrades.Provide commissioning, startup, and technical support for new and existing installations.Diagnose and resolve logic, programming, and integration issues, including third-party communication (e.g., OPC).Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, and deliver reports, training, and presentations.Act as the primary technical contact, ensuring strong customer relationships and continuous service improvement.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and mental health coveragePaid vacation and regional retirement benefitsCareer growth and internal advancement opportunitiesOngoing professional and technical developmentQualificationsRequiredPost-secondary education in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, or Instrumentation5+ years of experience in DCS/process control and networking technologiesValid driver's licenseWillingness to travel up to 20% within Ontario, Québec, and New BrunswickPreferredExperience with virtualization infrastructurePrevious field service or installation experienceStrong communication, troubleshooting, and customer management skillsDemonstrated initiative in technical learning and professional growth
