Independent Contractor Opportunity - Flight Deck Integration & Human Factors EngineerLocation: Dorval, QC Hybrid 18-24 months Mid-Senior LevelWe are seeking an Independent Contractor to join a team focused on flight deck design and human factors in Dorval, QC. This role ensures that cockpit interfaces are ergonomic, intuitive, and compliant with aviation standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain HMI design specifications for flight deck displays and controlsPerform requirements capture, verification & validationLead small projects and provide technical guidanceSupport development and certification testing (bench, simulator, aircraft)Ensure adherence to aerospace regulations and standardsConduct Human Error Analysis and assist in design reviewsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering + Human Factors training6-9 years of experience in flight deck systems or avionics integrationKnowledge of flight operations and aerospace regulationsFamiliarity with standards (MIL STD, SAE ARP, ARINC)Strong technical writing and communication skillsExpected start: Spring 2026Mobility: Occasional business tripsLanguage: English required, French an assetThis is a mandate for an Independent Contractor, not an employee position.Interested?
