New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Project Manager to assist our client with preparation for the migration of applications from 3 data centres into a new consolidated data centre. The Project Manager will coordinate with a third-party consulting team, application owners, architecture and infrastructure teams, on-premises data centre management, and technical support teams. The migration will be led by the third party, with client teams supporting, testing, and providing information as needed. The third party will manage its own project resources.Responsibilities:Application Migration and Final DispositionEvaluation/Migration Partner Selection SoWClient teams engagement for data gatheringPartner IT organization coordination and engagementAnalyze and create the final Disposition decisions with vendor and client IT and Application teamsSupport the 3rd party vendor's migration factory teams(s) in the analysis and verification of the disposition collateralParticipate in wave planning for the applications to be migratedManage the client project and its activities within the PMO project frameworkParticipate in third party validation of third-party milestone achievements for payment approvalsFinalization of human sourced application information from client and vendor(s)Input to client governance on applications needing replacement and justification so they can be migrated before 2027Provide input on budget analysis and cost modelsTrack the project and its deliverablesCommunicate project, milestones, risks and remediations to management and leadershipRecommend final migration factory conceptsFinal DeliverablesThe Program plan must include:Review and approve Final Wave planReview and approve final Application Disposition (re-host, retain, re-platform, retire)Review and approve Final Migration Factory Contingency plan for non-moved applications due to project issuesCCH capacity uplift planGovernance and process documentation Financing requirements for operations and budget for executionMigration of applications to Azure, or CCH (partial migration depending on wave plans)Assess and select a managed services partner for migration of applicationsCreate a draft 2026/2027 budget for year two migrationsAdhere to PMO artifacts, policies, updates and financial processesRequirements:10+ years of experience as a Project ManagerExperience with Data Centres and infrastructurePrevious experience in large scale workload migration to cloud servers and data center moves is preferredPrevious experience with Azure and AWS is preferredExperience in healthcare environments is preferredGood presentation skills to present findings to senior managementPMP (or other Project Management certification) is preferredIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
