Job Title: Cybersecurity ArchitectLocation: Calgary, AB (Hybrid) Type: Contract - 6+ Months (Extension Possible)About OpportunityWe are seeking a Solution Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in cybersecurity and SAP landscapes to support a major S/4HANA transformation. This role is embedded within the SAP project organization and plays a critical part in ensuring secure cloud adoption and enterprise architecture alignment. The architect will serve as a trusted advisor, embedding cybersecurity into every layer of the SAP ecosystem and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Architecture & DesignDevelop comprehensive cybersecurity reference architectures for SAP S/4HANA, including ERP, databases, interfaces, cloud infrastructure, and SAP BTP.Create security design patterns covering network segmentation, secure integration, and trust boundaries.Embed secure-by-design principles across SAP projects, influencing solution architects and developers.Compliance & GovernanceCollaborate with GRC and audit teams to ensure alignment with SOX, TSA, FERC, and data privacy regulations.Support audit readiness through technical controls and access reviews.Identity & Access ManagementIntegrate SAP systems with corporate SSO using SAML 2.0/OpenID Connect via platforms like Okta or Azure AD.Design and implement Privileged Access Management (PAM) for SAP administrative accounts.Data ProtectionEnforce encryption policies for data at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS 1.2+.Coordinate secure key management with cloud providers and SAP Basis teams.Cloud SecurityDesign cloud security architectures for RISE Private Cloud and ensure proper segmentation and firewall configurations.Leverage native cloud security controls (Azure/AWS) and integrate SAP cloud services with corporate environments.SAP BTP SecurityGuide secure use of SAP BTP for extensions and analytics.Ensure secure development practices and consistent IAM across S/4HANA and BTP.Application & Interface SecurityEstablish Secure SDLC for SAP custom development and interfaces.Define secure integration protocols and enable logging of critical actions.Monitoring & Incident ResponseImplement centralized logging and integrate SAP logs into enterprise SIEM.Develop incident response plans and collaborate with cybersecurity operations teams.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.5+ years in IT security, with 3+ years in security architecture roles.Proven experience designing enterprise security architectures aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, etc.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, TSA, FERC).Experience with penetration testing, threat modeling, and Zero Trust Architecture.Expertise in IAM, encryption, and cloud security (Azure/AWS).Hands-on experience with SSO protocols (SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0/OIDC).Familiarity with PAM tools (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, etc.).Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure/AWS Security Specialty are highly desirable.Strong diagramming and modeling skills.
