Label Designer IntegratorLocation: Mississauga12 month, term. Summary The Label Designer Integrator designs and implements product labels using BarTender Label Designer software integrated with an on-premise SQL Data Warehouse. This role combines technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to ensure labels are accurate, data-driven, compliant, and seamlessly connected to production workflows. The Label Designer Integrator works closely with Engineering, IT, and Production teams, as well as external vendors, to deliver efficient, high-quality labeling solutions.ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with Engineering, Production, IT, and Marketing to define label content and requirements.Translate business needs into label design and integration specifications.Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams to guide labeling solutions.Label Design & DevelopmentCreate and maintain label templates using BarTender Label Designer.Integrate product data, barcodes, QR codes, graphics, and regulatory information.Ensure visual and structural consistency across product lines.Data Integration & Systems ManagementLink label templates to data sources in the on-prem SQL Data Warehouse.Configure queries, dynamic fields, and automation rules for accurate label data population.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, logic, and formatting.Compliance & StandardsEnsure compliance with domestic and international labeling standards (e.g., GS1).Maintain version control and audit trails for templates.Collaborate with regulatory teams to implement compliance updates.Quality Control & Production SupportValidate label accuracy, clarity, and barcode readability prior to production.Support production teams in resolving printing or data feed issues.Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for label management.Skills & KnowledgeProficiency with BarTender Label Designer or similar software.Strong understanding of SQL queries, relational databases, and data integration.Familiarity with labeling standards such as GS1 and UPC.Ability to troubleshoot printing, barcode, and data connection issues.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.High attention to detail in design and data accuracy.Project management experience is an asset.QualificationsDiploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic/Packaging Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years' experience in label design, data integration, or technical design.Hands-on experience with BarTender Label Designer and SQL databases.Strong knowledge of data-driven label printing and integration with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., JDE, Dynamics).Experience in regulated industries such as manufacturing or logistics preferred.
