Job Summary:

The Packaging & Labeling Coordinator is responsible for managing the labeling process for cannabis products, ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations. This role includes maintaining accurate databases, managing packaging inventory, operating label equipment, and coordinating production runs — all while ensuring precision and regulatory compliance at every step.

Key Responsibilities:

● Manage and maintain the label database, ensuring all product information is accurate,

up to date, and compliant with regulations.

● Print the correct labels for production, verifying each version matches the product

specification and batch details.

● Ensure all cannabis product labels meet Health Canada compliance standards,

including language, warnings, and layout.

● Coordinate with QA to have all labels reviewed and approved before production;

submit and track approvals using internal systems.

● Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot label printing equipment; ensure clean, consistent

print quality.

● Manage inventory of labels and packaging materials, monitor usage, and place

reorders as needed.

● Work closely with the machine operator to support production flow and ensure all

orders are fulfilled with the correct packaging and labels.

● Assist with machine setup and learn operational procedures to support production

flexibility.

● Keep detailed records of label usage, changes, and compliance documents for audit

purposes.

● Liaise with suppliers to meet labeling and packaging timelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

● Strong attention to detail and ability to manage product-specific data accurately.

● Working knowledge of cannabis packaging regulations or willingness to learn quickly

● Proficient in label database systems and digital approval workflows.

● Comfortable using and maintaining label printing hardware.

● Microsoft Office expertise; BarTender Designer knowledge.

● Strong organizational and time management skills.

● Excellent communication skills for cross-department coordination.
