You'll help one of Canada's most trusted organizations work on the latest project, and be rewarded with great opportunities.Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Designer to support the planning and design phase of a multi-year technology modernization initiative. This contract role is dedicated to preparing the analysis of existing infrastructure, foundational architecture, solution strategies, and technical frameworks required for future implementation.The initiative focuses on modernizing a legacy application portfolio by transitioning to a secure, cloud-based, and supportable environment. It aims to reduce technical debt, improve service delivery, and align with broader sustainability and digital transformation goals.Scope of Work:This engagement is strictly focused on current system analysis, planning and draft solution design . The selected candidate will not be responsible for implementation but will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction and readiness for future execution.Key Responsibilities:Current system analysis, planning and draft solution design for multiple applicationsAssess current systems and identify opportunities for cloud migration, automation, and improved supportabilityDesign future-state solution architectures aligned with modernization goalsCollaborate with stakeholders to define business and technical requirementsDevelop solution roadmaps, integration strategies, and technical documentationEnsure alignment with security, compliance, and lifecycle management standardsSupport governance and decision-making through technical expertise and analysisMust Haves:10+ years of experience in solutions designAbility to design hosting technology solutions based on client specifications, standards, policies, best practices, and cost models.Knowledge of integrated networking technologies, mainframe, midrange servers (Azure, Migration, On prem to Cloud, application assessment)ability to provide technical leadership and guidance during solution design and implementation phases.Understanding of OPS standards, infrastructure management,Ability to evaluate system conditions, technical performance, and capacity to determine feasibility of expansion or replacementAbout Drake International:Since 1951, Drake International has been a global leader in flexible and permanent staffing, connecting people with the right roles at any career stage, both in Canada and worldwide.
