We are looking for a bilingual dispatcher in Lévis area to work in the transportation industry with Canadian customers on FTL and LTL shipments

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years' dispatching experience, who speaks French and English and lives in Lévis area.

• Permanent fulltime position, Monday to Friday
• 40 hours per week, flexible hours
• Salary varies from 50k to 65k depending on experience
• Insurance provided after 3 months' probation

Responsibilities

• Allocate pickups and deliveries to different drivers
• Daily followup of all open files (reservations, customer followup requests, etc.)
• Update customer files in the system
• Prompt and efficient dispatch to ensure quality service is maintained
• Planning and execution of outbound and inbound deliveries
• Act as the main point of contact for drivers on the route
• Communicate with drivers at defined intervals to manage service expectations and identify problems
• Ensure tracking and traceability
• Resolve and respond accordingly to calls from customers and customer service group
• Monitor shipments
• Work with operations team in a respectful manner

Qualifications

• 12 years' professional experience in a related field, in dispatching for a transmission or distribution company
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of AS400, SAP or TruckMate is an asset
• Mechanical knowledge an asset
• Customer serviceoriented and outgoing
• Organized and reliable
