Under the supervision of the IT Director, the IT Specialist is a member of the IT team and is responsible for providing high-level technical assistance and support to ensure the operation effectiveness and efficiency of the technology used within the organization.


Technical Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact to resolve difficult technical issues reported by end users.

Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches and security protocols, to ensure the stability, security and optimal performance of the organization's IT systems.


Documentation and Knowledge Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT support processes, procedures and troubleshooting steps.


Report issues to appropriate stakeholders as necessary, coordinating with third-party vendors or service providers to resolve more complex technical issues.


IT Asset Management:
Assist the department with procurement, deployment and lifecycle management of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses and peripherals. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies.

DEC in IT or equivalent

3 and 5+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a large organization

Very good knowledge of hardware, software, networks and operating systems

Proficient in troubleshooting complex technical issues and identifying root causes

Familiarity with the ITIL framework and IT service management best practices

Experience managing macOS and Windows devices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users

Bilingual:
French and English
