Job Description:

Aerotek is currently seeking licensed plumbers and plumbing apprentices to join our team for an exciting new construction project at Queens University. As a plumber, you'll be responsible for copper heating installations, fixture placements, and ensuring high-quality finishes. Threaded pipe work may also be required.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensed/Apprentice/Red Seal Plumber: From 1st year apprentices to fully ticketed plumbers (306a).
  • Commercial and Institutional Experience: At least 2 years of experience preferred but flexibility considered.
  • Valid G Driver's License: Must have reliable transportation.
  • Conduit Bending Skills: Ability to work with various pipe materials.
  • OCOT Registered: Ontario College of Trades registration in good standing.
  • Safety Gear: Steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, hard hat, and gloves.
  • Safety Training:
    • Level 1 Working at Heights
    • WHMIS 2015
    • Health & Safety Awareness (4 steps).
  • Preferred Certifications: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trades Certificate.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Welding experience.
    • Previous work in retirement homes or similar settings.
    • Fitting and pipefitting skills.
Work Environment:
  • Project Type: New build ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial).
  • Team Size: Approximately 40 workers on-site.
  • Shifts: 6 am - 6 pm day shift (off on Fridays).
  • Fast-Paced: Expect a dynamic work environment with opportunities for overtime.
