Overview

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to assist our customers with their LS-DYNA simulations and contribute to the growth of Ansys' business. You will utilize your engineering expertise to offer technical post-sales support, resolve a diverse range of technical challenges, and relay customer feedback to enhance Ansys products. Location: Remote position based in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with LS-DYNA and Ansys simulations.
  • Deliver high-quality and timely customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Become proficient in one or more simulation areas.
  • Enhance Ansys software by reporting defects (bugs) and suggesting improvements.
  • Create informative articles and share them on the Ansys forum.
  • Acquire knowledge of new LS-DYNA and Ansys features to support new releases.
  • Support marketing and sales by providing demonstrations and training material when required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering with 0 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with LS-DYNA, Ansys, or other structural CAE software (Abaqus, Radioss, Nastran, OptiStruct, Pam-Crash, etc.).
  • Solid foundation in structural mechanics and FEA theory.
  • Logical problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal/communication abilities.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Projects a professional image, demonstrates business acumen, and has a drive for success.
  • Enjoys assisting others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering with 3 years of relevant experience or a PhD in engineering.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 10% of the time.
  • Expertise in crashworthiness, impact, drop test, and forming with explicit dynamic software.
  • Experience in solving industrial issues with LS-DYNA.
  • Proficiency with Ansys Workbench, LS-PrePost, and LS-RUN.
  • Experience with non-linear and rate-sensitive materials (foams, plastics, rubbers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of metal plasticity and failure, hyper-elasticity, and composite materials.
  • Familiarity with LS-DYNA implicit and multi-physics solvers (ICFD, CESE, EM, thermal).
  • Exposure to programming user-defined functions (user materials, user elements, etc.).
  • Automation and customization using Python.
