R&D Verification Engineer II

The R&D Verification Engineer II is part of the Electronics, Semiconductor, and Optics Business Unit (ESOBU) at Ansys. The main task is to conduct software testing for ANSYS applications like HFSS and HFSS 3D Layout, ensuring they meet customer needs in terms of functionality and usability. Collaborating closely with the product creation team, this role communicates with technical experts on product issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Specify, write, and update test cases, scripts, and plans
  • Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures for development and testing
  • Work in diverse computing environments: Windows, Linux, Virtual Machines, Compute Clusters, Cloud, etc.
  • Identify and replicate product defects for resolution
  • Approve product releases when quality standards are met

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience, or MS with 1+ year of experience
  • Technical expertise in high-frequency principles and applications
  • Proficiency in Python and other programming languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Ansys HFSS and experience in commercial software testing
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate in a global team
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
