IO's Finance, Technology, and Lending Enterprise Team ensures that IO is a financially efficient and effectively managed organization and that the agency's finances are monitored, reported, and managed appropriately.

The team also manages the infrastructure lending program, which has supported more than $19 billion in local infrastructure development, and IO's Information Technology and Business Services, providing tools and systems to ensure secure, effective, and efficient operations.


Deliverables include the administrations of the payments process for incoming principal and interest payments, tax accounts and capital reserve accounts for IO's loan program and reconcile accordingly with IO's Finance and Treasury team.


What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate the eligibility approval process for potential nonmunicipal borrowers by assembling required documents and submitting to corporate legal for approval.
  • Ensure all required supporting documentation has been submitted by the client and review for completeness and quality of information.
  • Work with corporate legal to finalize a Financing Agreement.
  • Organize and manage the documentation for short and longterm financing requests to ensure smooth transactions in mínimal time.
  • Work closely with corporate legal and/or external legal counsel on transactions.
  • Proactively follow up and discuss with clients long and shortterm financing options, timing, and update of cash flow forecasts where required.
  • Receive and respond to calls from new/existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer service and the provision of timely and accurate information.
  • Provide annual information statements, payment statements and interest accrual statements to clients as required.
  • Administer payments for IO's loan portfolio.
  • Any other tasks and responsibilities as required.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Relevant academic background such as Finance/Business/Economic degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Good understanding of financial and/or loan theories, principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of legislation applicable to the investment community would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of public/corporate finance, banking and business administration principles.
  • Experience and knowledge in the administration of CMHC insured affordable housing loans would be an asset.
  • Experiences working with databases and financial systems.
  • Collaborative style and ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Good communication and written skills to provide information to IO management and staff, stakeholders and municipal contacts.
  • Appropriate use of judgment and good organizational skills.
  • Advanced database/spreadsheet skills (Excel, Access, etc.) and ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize financial data to prepare reports.
The salary range for this position is between $58,900 to $88,400, with a corresponding job level of P2.
