Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.

Our products include debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, institutional equity sales, trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange, and precious & metals.

Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Corporate Loan Documentation Group by ensuring all Corporate Loan Documentation is documented accurately and specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Review and record incoming Corporate Loan Documentation to complete new or updated Particulars of Fixed Security (Form 28s) on behalf of Corporate Banking Canada, U.S. Corporate Banking, ICCB's Toronto Offshore Banking Unit, Global Securitization and Special Accounts Management.
  • Review, document and monitor renewal of Canadian PPSA (Personal Property Security Act) UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) NOI (Notice of Intention) registration liens and Certificates of Insurance to maintain the Bank's priority interest in the security.
  • Attention to detail, strong communication skills, adaptability to new technology and adherence to strict deadlines are required.
  • Review, document and store all security related documentation (Shares/Promissory Notes etc.) to ensure proper custody and care are maintained.
  • Review and/or process documentation dealing with the U.S. Borrower in Custody Program.
  • Review/document/manage/verify SVBC documentation via Business Service Centre DMT (Document Management and Tracking System)
  • If applicable, review and process monthly BDAR and DCER reports from DMT (Document Management and Tracking System)
  • Provide backup to other Analysts as or when required
  • Flexibility to undertake cross training and/or ad hoc projects
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree, Post-Secondary or related experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with positive attitude
