The Opportunity:


The Research Coordinator will provide overall support for the coordination of research studies including, but not limited to: recruitment, clinical visits, preparing for monitoring visits, ethics submissions and correspondence.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the design of study specific documents such as ethics submission packages, source documentation, letters of correspondence, reports of studies to physicians and participants
  • Assess the staff requirements (nurses, research assistants) for prestudy preparation, recruitment, enrollment followup
  • Orient and supervise research nurses and assistants in the conduct of the study protocol
  • Coordinate and perform study recruitment, bookings, enrollments, and followup with the assistance of other research nurses and assistants
  • Ensure study documentation and study files are appropriately maintained
  • Report SAEs to the sponsor and REB following established guidelines
  • Oversee study product accountability and randomization practices
  • Coordinate sponsor monitoring visits
  • Promote good relations with community and health centers and doctors involved with recruitments.

Hours of Work:

8:00-4:00pm, Monday-Friday

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in a related health profession or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be accepted
  • Experience in a clinical trial environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and experience
  • Basic knowledge in research and/or project accounting systems strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project), Adobe Acrobat, WordPress, and social media platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organization skills and planning, including developing a work schedule, monitoring progress towards goals, and tracking details, data, information, and activities; able to effectively multitask
  • Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Able to work both independently as well as cooperatively and effectively with others
  • Demonstrate a high level of time management and decisionmaking skills in regards to setting priorities based on deadlines (both internal and external)
  • Strong attention to detail
