We are hiring a FSQA Coordinator, this role will assist the HACCP Coordinator and the FSQA Manager and will report to the FSQA Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety protocols, HACCP plans, and sanitation practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
  • Monitor and verify the effectiveness of food safety control measures.
  • Train employees on food safety practices and provide ongoing education to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct internal audits and participate in external audits from regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate and address food safety incidents or noncompliance issues, providing corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Review and update food safety policies and procedures in line with changing regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to food safety activities and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with government authorities and other relevant agencies to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in food safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field is an asset.
  • Certification in HACCP and Food Safety Management is required.
  • Proven experience (minimum three years) in a food safety coordinator role within the food production industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines (FDA, FSMA, GFSI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or offhours for audits and emergencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
