EVONIK Vancouver Laboratories (VAN), the operating drug delivery service site of Evonik Canada Inc., is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that provides CMC services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies engaged in the development and manufacture of complex delivery-based drug formulations.

EVONIK has a successful track record of helping Customers move their programs forward. Evonik's Vancouver business operations is a development partner to the world's pharmaceutical companies for parenteral lipid nanoparticle drug products.

As an enabling contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) partner, we offer drug formulation design, process development, scale-up, and clinical production.


EVONIK's range of services extends from initial formulation prototype identification, manufacturing process development & scale-up, analytical method development & validation to support raw material, in-process, release and stability testing, all the way through to sterile product manufacturing under GMP for Phase I-II clinical trials.

Products include the LIPEX line of Extruders, which are designed to enable small-scale to commercial scale manufacturing of liposomal drug products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist project team leads with process development, scaleup and manufacturing of drug formulations (R&D and Test Article Batches).
  • Support project team leads with study protocols, reports, and technical presentations.
  • Responsible for procurement activities for the group and lab maintenance.
  • Responsible for maintaining R&D and client dedicated equipment.
  • Closely work with other departments such as Procurement, Analytical, Manufacturing and QC.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate laboratory documentation including batch records, experimental methods, observations, data, and results.
  • May train lab technicians and other technical staff; may oversee laboratory and/or technical activities of appropriate scope and complexity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Biotechnology Diploma with 02 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and flexibility
  • Good organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize
  • Strict adherence to policies and procedures and ability to learn new techniques quickly and skillfully
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power
