Bilingual Claim Examiner, Auto and Property

OBJECTIFS PRINCIPAUX:
Enquêter, évaluer et s'occuper des provisions et régler les sinistres automobiles et de biens par téléphone, tout en respectant les normes en matière de service aux sinistres.
RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES:
- Analyser le premier rapport pour déterminer la nature du sinistre, la couverture fournie et l'étendue des dommages.
- Mener des enquêtes sur tous les aspects des réclamations déclarées. Protéger ou classer tous les documents à l'appui et les vérifier pour en assurer l'exactitude, la relation et la précision.
- Avoir l'esprit critique pour examiner les estimations des dommages automobiles.
- Établir des provisions exactes en temps opportun.
- Demander une aide technique pour gérer les sinistres dépassant son autorité.
- Gérer l'inventaire des dossiers tout en maintenant un ratio fermeture/ouverture ne dépassant pas 1:1.
- Tenir un journal actif/assurer un suivi pour assurer que les réclamations sont gérées de façon pro-active.
- Documenter rapidement et correctement tous les développements dans le dossier du sinistre.
- Faire de preuve de bon jugement en déterminant la décision définitive d'un sinistre et en évaluant la nature de la perte, la responsabilité civile, les préjudices et dommages, la couverture offerte et les limites applicables.
- Négocier un règlement à l'amiable efficace lorsque cela est approprié ou requis.
- Communiquer efficacement avec les équipes suivantes : Sinistres, Services des pertes, Services des risques des particuliers et Assurance des entreprises, Souscriptions, Courtiers, Partenaires commerciaux.
- Offrir une subrogation et des frais de récupération, s'il y a lieu.
- Contrôler efficacement l'utilisation, le travail produit et les dépenses des fournisseurs externes, au besoin.
- Expérience antérieure en assurances ou en services financiers un atout.
- Conformité aux Pratiques exemplaires de traitement des réclamations de Chubb.

KEY OBJECTIVE:
To investigate, assess, reserve, and resolve Automobile and Property Claims over the telephone while adhering to all Claims Service Standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze first report to determine nature of loss, coverage provided and scope of damage.
- Conduct investigations of all aspects of reported claims. Secure and/or file all supporting documentation and verify the same for accuracy, relationship, and completeness.
- Comfortable critically reviewing auto repair estimates.
- Establish accurate and timely reserves.
- Seek technical assistance in handling claims exceeding authority.
- Achieve open to closed inventory ratio of 1 to 1 or better.
- Maintain an active diary/monitor same to ensure pro-active disposition of the claims.
- Promptly and properly document all developments in claim file.
- Exercise good judgment in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, injury/damage, coverage provided and applicable limits.
- Effectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate or required.
- Effectively communicate with the following: Claims, Loss Services, Personal and Commercial Lines, Underwriting, Brokers, and Business Partners.
- Recognize subrogation/salvage where applicable.
- Effectively control the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors as required.
- Available to assist with CAT Duty in the event of major industry events.
- Adhere to Chubb Claim Handling Best Practice.
