- Madison Director of Rehab Therapy Services ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary The Director of Rehab Therapy Services is a member ofthe Rehabilitation Leadership Council, and participates in theestablishment of policies and procedures for all IP therapy services.
Designs and implements a framework to integrate and coordinate patientcare services, and program development with all IP therapy departmentswithin the assigned facility, consistent with quality service andmaximization of profit.
Provides direction, expertise and mentoring tofacilitate the growth and development of IP rehabilitation therapyservices. Directs daily operations of inpatient physical, occupationaland speech therapy services.Specific Duties Ensures the design ofpatient care services provided within the therapy departments isappropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served.
Recruits, selects, directs and supports the activities of the ClinicalManagers in the therapy departments within the assigned facility.Develops programs to promote the recruitment, retention, and continuingeducation of all staff members in conjunction with the ClinicalManagers, Directors of Rehab Therapy Services across the Division, HRand the Director of Education.
Qualifications Minimum QualificationsCurrent state licensure as a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapistrequired.(For Speech discipline:
Current Certificate of ClinicalCompetence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the AmericanSpeech-Language & Hearing Association required.) A minimum of seven (7)years of experience as a therapist in an acute rehab setting, includinga minimum of five years supervisory experience required.
