About the Position

Join our team as an Exhibit Sales Specialist, reporting to the Program Manager in the Community Initiatives and Agriculture department. Your main mission will be to expand our vendor base at events like KDays and Farmfair, collaborating with various businesses and market players. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Make daily sales calls to engage clients
  • Achieve & report on sales targets
  • Comprehensively document all sales interactions
  • Cultivate relationships with exhibitors
  • Use consumer research data for tailored sales pitches
  • Generate leads from different sources
  • Maintain sales database
  • Participate in professional associations and networks
  • Attend competitive events and identify opportunities
  • Stay updated on show features and marketing strategies
  • Coordinate with trades for successful event execution
  • Ensure efficient move-in processes for vendors
  • Oversee vendor areas' appearance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for guest satisfaction
  • Execute and supervise vendor programs
  • Conduct audits for compliance
  • Assist in teardown processes
  • Capture feedback for future event success
  • Brainstorm enhancements for vendor programs
  • Develop plans and budgets for program maintenance and expansion
  • Document all programs and procedures for compliance
  • Conduct post-event audits and provide feedback
  • Manage trade show on-site during events

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing
  • 2+ years in inside sales or outbound calling
  • Customer service or retail experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of sales principles
  • CRM software familiarity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and sales improvement
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to changing market trends
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
  • Availability for overtime
