The Lead Quality Assurance Technician will facilitate and assist in the Quality Assurance, document control, safety functions at the plant, and daily quality SAP (centralized enterprise management system).
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Prepare Certification of Compliance as requested
- Inspect products during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale
- Compare product with customer specifications
- Make decisions on product status, and mark the type of defect if applicable
- Document information on work orders
- Inspect and tag reels
- Test incoming raw material and conduit, and record the date
- Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
- Follow all safety requirements
- SAP daily movements, transactions, and system management
- Perform all other tasks and projects as assigned or required
- Quality Laboratory Scheduling and Management
- TL900 (ISO) Plant setup and preparation through internal audits
- Document control management process
- Support Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and file management, Data Entry for reporting
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 + years' experience working in quality control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ year's of management/supervision/lead experience (desirable)
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and file management, Data Entry for reporting
- SAP or ERP inventory systems (desirable)
- Data management and data integrity
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills
