As Project Executive (Marketing and Partnerships) you will join a leadership team that is accountable for the planning, development and implementation, operations and management of health workforce attraction, recruitment and retention strategies.

As a creative thinker and collaborator, you will lead highly participatory projects with various partners, organizations and communities to ensure that the work of the OHPR builds from the assets of and meets the needs of the province.

You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing strategies (digital and traditional channels) and initiatives that attract health care professionals to Nova Scotia from a variety of national and international markets.

You will be responsible to lead a team, working groups and committees with senior level partners inside and outside of government and have responsibility for management of external vendor contracts.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management of complex heath system recruitment/retention/redesign programs and transformation projects.
  • Provide comprehensive and expert policy advice to senior leadership on attraction, recruitment and retention matters.
  • Lead the development of strategies, standards, and policy through review of relevant research, literature reviews, jurisdictional scans, and consultation.
  • Provide strategic support to the health authorities, longterm care sector and communitybased organizations to ensure excellence in attraction, recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Lead the preparation of advice and recommendations to government including Memoranda to Executive Council, Reports and Recommendation and presentations to Health Committee.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of an accountability framework and resultbased management tools and indicators that monitor, measure, and assess risk, impact, and progress of system performance.
  • Collaborate across the Office and work with the leadership team on the development of the Operational Plan with targets and lead the production of quarterly accountability reports and development of financial forecast.

Qualifications and Experience:

This may be the right opportunity for you if you are an experienced leader with exceptional partnership building skills, with a bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. public relations, marketing, communications, public administration, business/commerce) and several years of experience in progressively responsible leadership positions. A master's degree is an asset, along with leadership experience in a marketing attraction, recruitment and retention management role. French language skills are an asset.
