Position Summary

The Marketing Assistant Coordinator (internally known as Marketing Coordinator I) is responsible for assisting with the successful execution of various marketing initiatives for the Calgary Stampede Marketing department.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Content development for social media, email marketing, and web. Support the Marketing team with marketing planning of Stampede time initiatives. Ensure all content produced meets brand standards, follows existing design templates and best practices, and supports the Stampede's Content Marketing Strategy. Day-to-day execution of social media activities (X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) with a heavy focus on community management to spark brand engagement, excitement, and customer loyalty. Create, proof, and deploy a variety of email marketing newsletters and website landing pages in support of the overall marketing strategy. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, volunteers, and guests. Provide support to marketing team including writing and proofreading, project management, and general office administration duties as required. Complete special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:

Completed or working towards a business degree program (Marketing, Public Relations, Communications) Exceptional communication, presentation, project management and time management skill with the ability to prioritize Exceptional relationship skills working with internal stakeholders to align objectives and outcomes Understanding of social media management and website content management tools Advance knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment
