Purpose of the position

The assistant to the health services manager contributes to the planning and control of activities relating to the care and well-being of residents. He/she ensures compliance with professional standards as well as the certification regulations for private seniors' residences relating to his/her sector. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like : Practice while respecting the laws and standards in force, the scale of values of residents and their beliefs Work in close collaboration with the Health Services Manager to supervise and mobilize the work of registered and/or auxiliary nurses and resident attendants Plan human resources and ensure timely replacement of care staff as needed Collaborate in the staffing process of your sector by ensuring the reception, training and integration of new employees Participate in the establishment and maintenance of protocols necessary for prevention and appropriate care of residents Ensure the accuracy of the data entered in the different work routes in Symo Collaborate on staffing/billing analysis to improve the efficiency and profitability of health services In the absence of the Health Services Manager, take charge of communication and ensure that the bond of trust with residents, their families and loved ones is maintained Act as an intermediary for various external stakeholders (doctors, pharmacists, CLSC, CISSS, etc.) Take appropriate measures with regard to emergency situations that may arise in the establishment. Carry out/contribute to the clinical assessment and monitoring of residents and ensure work routes are updated according to their specific needs Providing health and wellness care with the goal of maintaining and restoring health and preventing disease

Required qualifications :

Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing Experience in personnel management A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software Member of the OIIAQ Up-to-date general first aid CPR/AED training Experience in personnel management (an asset) Comfort in using computer tools
