Situated in the heart of the Financial District, just minutes away from Union Station and the Subway, we are currently seeking a talented Senior Technical Project Manager (Cloud/Data Migration/EDW/ETL) to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager handling risks associated with leading intricate projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in overseeing multiple technical teams, potentially spread across different locations.
  • Technical proficiency in cloud technologies, enterprise data warehouse concepts, data integration pipelines, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project and program management expertise for various projects.
  • Conduct meetings with key personnel from clients to collect requirements.
  • Create detailed project plans for each task by project phases.
  • Supervise the tasks of the entire team (vendors, clients, staff) to ensure timely completion of project phases.
  • Monitor and track the budget and its consumption based on adherence to project estimates.
  • Prepare weekly status reports highlighting current tasks, upcoming tasks, issues, risks, budget status, and project milestone dates.
  • Identify, track, and manage issues and risks, escalating them to the appropriate leadership.
  • Ensure that teams have the necessary technical clarity and focus during meetings/stand-ups.
  • Promote operational efficiencies of the development team to maximize deliverables in each iteration.
  • Remove impediments and obstacles for the team.
  • Implement processes, practices, and tools that enable multiple paths of delivery, promoting simplified, reusable, and efficient methodologies.
  • Recommend improvements and foster alignment across IT teams within the same line of business.

Project Management/Scrum Skills:

  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP).
  • Understanding of iterative and incremental development fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches such as Kanban, Crystal, FDD, XP, etc.
  • Proficiency in estimation, planning, and creating practical plans for software development projects.
  • Experience in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams, sprint planning, and agile development practices.
  • Awareness of the importance of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Proficiency in tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.

Familiar with common development practices, other skills:

  • Prior Consulting or C-Level Presentations Experience.
  • Team Player with Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).
  • Strong Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, and Passion for Scrum and Project Management.
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Outstanding Time Management Skills.

Must Have:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Prior experience in external client service, consulting, or contracting roles.
  • PMP, CSM, and Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
