MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of in-bound/out-bound freight to meet DHL on-time performance standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately sort & process inbound/outbound material
  • Unload and/or load containers, trailers, and vehicles safely, correctly and efficiently
  • Move freight within the warehouse area as per agreed safety procedures
  • Participate in the organization and cleanup of the warehouse area
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and cooperative work environment
  • Scan freight as required
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned
  • Meet company productivity targets
  • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage
  • Shipment processing complies 100% with Transport of Dangerous Goods requirements
  • Paperwork is 100% complete, accurate and on time
  • Follow policy and procedures as outlined by shift Supervisor
  • Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff
  • Comply with Collective Agreement
  • Alert operations management of any issues, or near misses immediately

OBJECTIF GÉNÉRAL:

Participer au traitement sûr, précis et rapide du fret entrant/sortant afin de respecter les normes de ponctualité de DHL.

RESPONSABILITÉS:

  • Trier et traiter avec précision le matériel entrant/sortant.
  • Décharger et/ou charger les conteneurs, les remorques et les véhicules de manière sûre, correcte et efficace.
  • Déplacer le fret dans la zone de l'entrepôt conformément aux procédures de sécurité convenues.
  • Participer à l'organisation et au nettoyage de l'entrepôt.
  • Participer au maintien d'un environnement de travail sûr et coopératif.
  • Scanner les marchandises au besoin
  • Autres tâches liées à l'entrepôt, selon les besoins.
  • Atteindre les objectifs de productivité de l'entreprise
  • Responsable de la satisfaction des clients internes et externes
  • Manipuler les expéditions de manière à minimiser les dommages.
  • Le traitement des expéditions est conforme à 100 % aux exigences du transport des marchandises dangereuses.
  • Les documents sont à 100 % complets, précis et ponctuels.
  • Suivre la politique et les procédures décrites par le chef de quart.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail sûr et sécurisé pour tout le personnel.
  • Respecter la convention collective
  • Alerter immédiatement la direction des opérations de tout problème ou quasiaccident.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70lbs. per piece, throughout shift.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on time within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMALES:

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent
  • Capacité à soulever et à transporter des colis, jusqu'à 70 livres par pièce, pendant toute la durée du poste.
  • Capacité démontrée à travailler efficacement et à temps dans des délais serrés.
  • Capacité avérée à travailler efficacement en équipe.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Often fatiguing or uncomfortable - hot or cold warehouse environment dependent upon season. The job might often require concentrated levels of attention and physical activity. Tension and time constraints may be an on-going aspect of the job.
