POSITION OVERVIEW:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead highquality Mat Pilates classes for clients of all fitness levels, focusing on proper technique, alignment, and safety.
  • Design and plan class sequences that are challenging, engaging, and suitable for a diverse range of participants.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions, demonstrations, and corrections to ensure clients perform exercises correctly and safely.
  • Offer modifications and variations to accommodate individual needs, injuries, or limitations.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment that motivates and inspires clients to reach their full potential.
  • Promote the benefits of Pilates and overall general health benefits of exercise.
  • Teach both small and large group classes, ranging from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio space, including equipment setup and sanitization as needed.
  • Ability to tailor classes to the level of clients taking the class.
  • Ensure classes begin and end promptly on time.

QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification in Mat Pilates instruction from a recognized organization such as STOTT Pilates, BASI Pilates, or Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Mat Pilates classes in a studio or fitness environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, and exercise science.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively instruct, motivate, and engage clients.
  • Ability to adapt exercises and provide modifications to accommodate different fitness levels and physical abilities.
  • Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in all aspects of teaching and studio operations.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of Pilates.
  • Alignment with the values and culture of Industry Dance Co., including dedication to inclusivity, positivity, and clientcentered care.

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week
