As a part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Executive manager in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service.

You will also assist with other functions such as inventory, food preparation, and cleaning.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, cook, and present vegetarian food in a manner that meets International Buddhist Society standards of quality, presentation and sanitation.
  • Work with executive manager to implement menu changes and changes in staff.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order.
  • Work with frontofhouse staff to provide excellent service.
  • Complete required training.
  • Work with manager to ensure that all inventory is accounted for and reconciled on a daily basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a high degree of care and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a teambased environment where each employee is an integral part of the entire kitchen scene.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English or Chinese
  • Ability to act with integrity, honesty, and compassion towards all people.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment where results are measured against the expectations of the brand and guests.

Salary:
$23.00-$25.00 per hour
