Our Toronto office is looking for a

Programming Coordinator for an 8-month contract, to join our team

The Programming Coordinator supports the Programming team to schedule and showcase content across the networks' linear and digital platforms.

Reporting to the Director of Programming & Acquisitions, key responsibilities include day-to-day management of the programming schedules, communicating plans, and serving as a liaison to all internal departments, master control and TV listings services.

This position also assists in long-term program planning and in-depth audience research projects.

On the digital side, this role supports all non-linear initiatives, including AVOD, SVOD, and authenticated VOD. This role will assist in strategic placement of content and supporting partner initiatives across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Program Schedule Management input and maintain program schedules into inhouse system
  • Work with Traffic department to ensure accurate daily broadcast logs
  • Effectively communicate programming information to all internal departments, Master Control and TV listings services
  • Manage the entry of and maintenance of all schedules and series metadata
  • Screening programs for compliance purposes
  • Assist with CRTC compliance tracking

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar position or administrative support role
  • University or college studies in a related program is preferred
  • Selfstarter, able to multitask and follow several onair schedules
  • Strong organizational skills with emphasis on attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge and understanding of children's programming
  • Experience working in BroadView scheduling software is preferred
  • Fluency in French, an asset
