The position:


As the Sign Fabricator, you well play a crucial role in the fabrication of our traffic signs depending on clients requests.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate highway traffic signs and custom signs, using a variety of substrates including aluminum, coroplast, sintra, plywood, etc.
  • Perform duties such as weeding vinyl, cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning substrates.
  • Execute proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
  • Fabricate signs to the dimensions, shapes, colors and legends required to conform to the specifications.
  • Cut text and graphics out of vinyl film using our computer driven plotter.
  • Repairs, repaints and services worn, and damaged signs as needed.
  • Maintains records of daily production for signs fabricated or repaired.
  • Ensure that machinery and tools used in making signs are appropriately maintained.
  • Works collaboratively with the sign shop staff in conjunction with the supervisor to ensure orders are completed within the specified timelines.
  • Follows safety protocols and operating techniques/procedures.
  • Always maintains safe and clean work environment.
  • Performs effectively as a member of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class G Driver's License
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Team player and excellent communicator
  • Able to work in a fastpaced, high stress environment
  • 2+ years of Sign Shop/Sign Making experience
  • Frequent reaching, standing, walking, and manual dexterity
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds
  • Skilled in prioritizing, organizing, and managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fastpaced environment
  • Communicating effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Selfmotivated with a resultsdriven approach
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset
  • Able to interact professionally with customers, staff, and management while simultaneously managing a heavy diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively

Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 7am to 4pm

Overtime:
As needed and approved
