  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and welders to ensure proper installation
  • Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning pipes, valves, or fixtures
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their longevity
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques and materials
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing systems
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and problemsolving
  • Ability to weld and perform basic carpentry tasks as needed
  • Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and other professionals
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
