- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and welders to ensure proper installation
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning pipes, valves, or fixtures
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their longevity
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed

- Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques and materials
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
