Position Summary:


Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Martial Arts Instructor, will be responsible for leading and coordinating martial arts group lessons to registered patrons.

These course(s) range from beginner to advanced levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate martial arts group lessons.
  • Adapt lessons to the specific groups ranging from beginners to advanced.
  • As required, modify moves, techniques for patrons who may have limitations.
  • Address any emergency issues requiring attention to supervisor or security.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Coaching experience and/or coaching certification (level 1) is required.
  • Knowledgeable in the martial arts
  • First Aid and CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an Englishlanguage university where daytoday duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
