Health and Safety Generalist

Working under the direction of the Health and Safety Manager you will

  • Be a dedicated Health and Safety Representative to our Team Members
  • 5 Years Health and Safety experience would be an asset
  • Certification as a LPN, RN, Kinesiologist, or Health and Safety professional
  • Can be working towards MHSA certifications or willing to work towards these certifications through the support of the STC Training Department
  • Strong understanding of Alberta OHS and WCB Legislation would be an asset
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a valid Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification or willing to work towards these designations through the support of the STC Training Department
  • Provide direct delivery of STC health and safety initiatives that support a strong safety culture at STC
  • Be a resource for First Aiders when called upon to support acute treatment of injuries and make referrals for addition medical triage if required
  • Be assigned Health and Safety Department initiatives to develop and implement within the STC Plants
  • Attend daily Plant and Health and Safety Department Team Meeting, often taking the lead on Health and Safety information exchanges
  • Physical capability to walk throughout the day inside the Plants for extended periods is required "boots on the ground"
  • 5 Years Health and Safety experience would be an asset
  • Certification as a LPN, RN, Kinesiologist, or Health and Safety professional
