We are there for our customers immediately after an automobile accident to ensure they feel supported and their requirements are addressed. As an Auto Claims Advisor, you will offer guidance and assistance to customers, ensuring they feel well-supported during challenging times.

What You'll Do

You will act as a representative of TD Insurance in the role of an Auto Claims Advisor and assist in managing and coordinating claims from initiation to completion. Regardless of your position at TD, you will have a significant impact, enhance your skills, and flourish in our caring culture. As a valuable member of our Auto Claims Team, your responsibilities will include:

• Make an Impact:

• - Support customer claims from start to finish, including arranging towing, scheduling appraisals, and outlining coverage details under the policy terms to clients
• - Collect, organize, and validate necessary information and documents from various sources to ensure a comprehensive compilation of facts for resolving claims
• - Validate estimates from new and preferred vendors to ensure fair settlements for damages to a customer's vehicle
• - Contribute to team productivity goals by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio
• - Collaborate with internal partners, stakeholders, and external vendors such as Enterprise and repair shops (e.g., TD Auto Centre partners, our direct repair partner network, and non-preferred shops)

  • - Research different coverage scenarios and apply this knowledge to customer claim files
  • - Understand and uphold our customer-focused and strategic objectives while supporting TD Insurance Group's deliverables

  • - Greet and welcome customers upon arrival at TD Auto Centres
  • - Recognize each case's uniqueness; utilize unbiased and appropriate methods to achieve fair and equitable claim resolutions
  • - Clearly communicate claim processing requirements to clients, maintain detailed claims notes, and provide timely progress updates and responses to client queries

Job Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

• - A minimum of one year of claims adjusting experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates without direct claims experience who show interest in the industry; having postsecondary education is considered an advantage
• - Exceptional customer service skills; committed to meeting or exceeding the expectations of internal and external clients
• - Strong time management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• - Proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes whenever feasible
• - Demonstrated clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on active listening
• - Excellent investigative skills; capable of conducting thorough examinations, analyzing evidence, and identifying inconsistencies or gaps in data and reports
• - Support for company-wide process enhancements
• - Candidates actively pursuing a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other relevant continuous education opportunities are preferred
• - Provincial claims licensing may be obligatory
• - Bilingual (English and French) proficiency in written and verbal communication is mandatory for Quebec-based applicants and potentially for those based in Atlantic regions
