Food Production Operator

As a key member of the team, the
Food
Production Operator will act as a member of the plant production team to ensure the production of quality products built in an environment of safety, efficiency and quality.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the accumulation of all materials required for production runs are located at correct stations
  • Monitor individual equipment operation per manufacturing job function
  • Complete material returns from production to warehouse
  • Cleanup and inspection of equipment post production
  • Warehouse cleaning (dusting, sweeping) as required
  • Inventory count, validation and organizing
  • Yard clean up (pallet stacking, garbage removal, sweeping/shoveling of exits as required)
  • Dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing and setup of equipment
  • Completes all sanitation activities as per SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operation Procedure)
  • Ensure compliance of employee safety, PPE and food safety requirements
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and updates through documentation to Lead Operator or Management
  • Demonstrate a commitment to being an active member of a culture of employee and food safety
  • Actively supports risk management activities as it relates to quality, customer, brand, and food safety
  • Support the team with any other projects or duties required to be completed as needed
  • 12 years' experience working in a food manufacturing or sanitation environment preferred, but willing to train those who bring the right attitude
  • Indepth knowledge of quality and food safety and experience following food safety plans
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a sanitation issue
  • Forklift and Fall Arrest Training considered an asset
  • Machine maintenance experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • A willingness to take on new challenges, and adapt to changing priorities
  • This role would be positioned for 12pm8:30pm, Monday to Friday but may require flexibility to ensure that work is complete and ready for production
