Part-Time Housing Support Worker

Position Description:
The Housing Support Worker promotes housing stability for marginalized individuals, supporting their health, wellness, and community belonging.

Hours of Work:
Part-time 8-24 hours per week. The shifts can range from 4-8 hours per day. Weekends are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including some public holidays. Will require weekday flexibility to meet program needs. Will require overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individuals with activities of daily living.
  • Household duties: cooking and cleaning, other duties as assigned.
  • Administering medication, recording daily shift notes.
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
  • Reinforcing residents' life skills, spirituality, and social and community skills.
  • Working as part of a team supporting individuals living in the residential care facility

Skills:

All employees should demonstrate a warm, sensitive and caring approach, flexibility, organization, initiative, and the ability to work independently.

Employees must be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have a genuine interest in providing quality care for people living with mental illness.


Education/Experience:
Minimum High School diploma. Priority given to those with post-secondary education in the social sciences and/or residential experience; current students encouraged to apply.

Compensation:
$20.43- $24.56 hourly based on education and experience.
