We are currently under a new ownership, we have ambitious plans and we are seeking for a talented CNC Plasma Press Operator who wants to be part of them

Are you in?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup CNC Plasma to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust CNC Plasma settings
  • Test operation of CNC Plasma periodically
  • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC Plasma as required
  • Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
  • Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; report on defective products.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Transfer materials manually or with forklift trucks if applicable
  • Store products and materials
  • Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
  • Keep the worksite clean and follow heath, safety and quality regulations.
  • Support with other production related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Postsecondary related education or has 3+ years of proven experience as a CNC Plasma operator
  • Knowledge and experience with G coding

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada:

  • Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates and blueprints.
  • Competent in reading gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
  • Good understanding of production procedures
  • Must be able to read, write, communicate and comprehend English
  • Excellent attention to detail, good motor skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Wellrounded work ethic and positive attitude
  • Must be reliable and punctual for shifts.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Expertise in handling other metalworking machinery such as Welding Robot, or others related is an asset.
  • Forklift Certificate is a plus

Working Environment

  • Manufacturing environment on production floor with elements such as noise and dust.
  • Requires the ability to exert physical effort
  • Able to work independently and with a team

Hours
The normal hours of work at 40 hours per week; however, some non-standard hours may apply

Benefits


This position includes a comprehensive benefit plan, including but not limited to extended health and dental coverage, life and travel insurance, paid vacation, long term disability plans.

Only one shift per day 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with over time during high season.
