What you'll be doing:

  • Pull and stage parts for shop jobs before coming into the shop.
  • Ensure parts requests for jobs in shop are prioritized.
  • Identify and communicate any work order warranty requirements to technicians and shop supervisor.
  • Consult with management before rush ordering any regular inventory parts.
  • Assign parts and supplies on work orders in realtime using standard work to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Confirm availability and pick parts for OTC part sales.
  • Ensure any unused parts are returned to inventory and removed from work orders if necessary.
  • Maintain organization and upkeep of warehouse.
  • Label and store parts in accurate locations.
  • Receive inbound parts, supplies and materials — physically and in system.
  • Pull, stage and label parts for outbound shipping.
  • Label, assign and maintain storage and bin locations for all inventory.
  • Assist in development and improvement of warehouse and storage plans.
  • Perform regular cycle counts for all inventory and monitor for shrinkage avoidance.
  • Occasional need to pick up and deliver parts as required in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure all loads are safe and properly secured at all times.
  • Other work as may be defined

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with trade training.
  • Valid G Class License with clean driver's abstract.
  • Industry related experience an asset.
  • Truck and trailer parts knowledge and experience.
  • Comfortable with prioritizing and handling large volumes of paperwork.
  • Ability to work in a high pace environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Cetaris etc.).
