~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
~20 years of experience in engineering leadership, managing technical projects.
~ Experience in AI application development at scale.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, or MBA.

Understanding of the complex relationship between the organization and its environment, with ability to identify connections, adopt different perspectives and quickly respond to changing circumstances in a strategic way.

Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and organizational skills.
Exceptional communication skills that drive executional impact at scale.
About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for a suite of AI-first business applications and developing a roadmap of new applications in areas like customer service and sales, and in industries such as telecommunications, healthcare, retail, and financial services.

You will be responsible for defining and developing the technical infrastructure and product functionality for these applications, working with multiple Google organizations, customers, and partners.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
Help develop the long-term technical vision and strategy for the Cloud Applications organization.
Develop and review technical designs and guide technical discussions and direction.
Lead research, prototyping, and experimentation for key initiatives and products.
Develop key stakeholder relationships to drive results across Google leading high-priority cross-product area initiatives.
Recruit, mentor, and develop a growing and high-performing team.
