Bell Canada's Information Technology organization is looking for a Systems Integration Specialist to join a team of professionals who specialize in managing and overseeing various aspects of Bell's Systems and Technology.

Within Information Technology resides the Business Operations - Wireless & Retail Systems team who are responsible for the administration, support and maintenance of various systems used by the Wireless Business units.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prime resource for Bell/Virgin Corporate store retail IT program
  • Work with our IT security prime to ensure security initiatives are being actioned and remediated
  • Assist on developing the following:
  • Yearly evergreen plan
  • Monthly currency plan
  • Assist in troubleshooting incidents related to Hardware/software as required
  • Assist in maintaining the IT POS lab
  • Maintain min/max levels for all Corp store support hardware
  • Liaison with vendors to build hardware road map
  • Order hardware based on plan and forecast
  • Working with our finance team to forecast spend monthly CAPEX/OPEX
  • Represent IT in meetings related to store build and new technology
  • Maintain standards documentation
  • Hardware/Software
  • Work closely with Vendors on improving processes and documentation
  • Test new hardware as required
  • Manage small projects

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Effective communicator with an ability to articulate technical solutions into business conversation
  • Capacity to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution
  • Technical aptitude with understanding of various technologies including web and client server architectures, eagerness to expand technical/functional knowledge
  • Willingness to proactively seek information to ensure exceptional risk assessment and mitigation
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at a high level and dive into detail when challenges arise
  • The ability to effectively facilitate and coordinate meetings, and to negotiate consensus from crossfunctional teams
  • Understand and articulate IT concepts and issues from a business perspective
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Business knowledge related to Wireless telecommunications, support of Retail POS systems and in store technology is preferred
  • Postsecondary education, preferably in Business or Technology, or relevant work experience
