SUMMARY:The Production Planner will oversee planning and creating routings for components throughout the shop floor, focusing on the most effective methodology and duration of manufacturing steps. Responsibilities also include involvement in continuous improvement activities and production scheduling.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:• Reviewing Engineering drawings or 3D models to create manufacturing routings/component activities, including planned durations for each step in the manufacturing process• Participating in Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) meetings to share insights on manufacturing process plans and receive input from other Manufacturing Team members• Implementing best practices and developing Process Planning templates/tools for future simplification and improvement of routings• Collaborating with other Operations team members to understand current StackTeck Manufacturing processes and engage in continuous improvement initiatives• Assisting Production BOM coordinator in various job aspects such as material procurement and Inventory management• Reviewing and identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiencies and reliability in work process flow through structured problem-solving• Providing support to the Planning Team/Scheduling team and executing scheduling processes aligned with defined procedures based on forecasts and constraints• Determining, communicating, and monitoring production lead times based on throughputs and backlogs, as well as troubleshooting schedule issues and providing root cause analysis• Maintaining effective planning and scheduling procedures in a continuous improvement environment• Managing System Parameters in ERP systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Post-Secondary education in Process Planning/Supply Chain Management
At least Two (2) years' experience in a Production Environment, preferably as Production Scheduler or PlannerExperience in a job-shop, machining environment is beneficial
Experience as a machinist, especially operating various machines, is an advantage
Proven familiarity with MRP/ERP and manufacturing flow systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP is highly advantageous
Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel for spreadsheet and report development
