MENTAL HEALTH SUMMER SERVICES
4 CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER (CYW) POSITIONS
(dependent on sufficient enrollment)
Applications are being accepted for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board's Mental Health Summer Services 2024 program, supported by Ministry funding.
The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School board will be offering a variety of Summer Mental Health & Wellness programs at various locations from July 2, 2024 to August 30, 2024. These sessions will be geared to mental health promotion and will be dependent on student and family needs as well as registration.
The programs are focused on promoting mental health and will be based on skill-building activities that support student well- being. The CYW's primary responsibility will be to design, develop and deliver mental health programs and school-based camps for students. Board approved resources will be available to guide facilitation.
Remuneration is set at $37.42 per hour. CYW's will be paid for 5 hours a day (9:00 am to 2:00 pm). CYWs are expected to work a minimum of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) beginning July 2, 2024 and ending August 30, 2024.
Qualifications and Skills:
CYW Diploma/Degree required
Previous experience with students with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties considered an asset.
Previous experience facilitating group sessions considered an asset.
Previous leadership experience is considered an asset.
