Accountant / Finance Manager

  • Responsible for all banking transactions including but limited to daily banking, payroll, expenses, deposits, withdrawals & transfers along with tracking all supporting documentation for review and compliance and daily bank account monitoring. (Ensure all requisitions are authorized and dates appropriately and it is accompanied by approved supporting documents, all documents must be reviewed and audited for approval
~ Full-cycle accounting
~· Responsible for money management, banking reconciliation for all TBGOC's corporations & owner's personal banking
~· Responsible to review, audit and complete for all year-end TBGOC's corporations & owner's personal tax filing
~· Must be open minded, and willing to take instructions and follow instructions on money management control and fund leveraging directions
~· Responsible for preparing bookkeeping entries and filing of all supporting documents, and completing monthly financials only for BMIC
~ Responsible for paying all government remittances on time, and with the accurate amounts not limited to the preparation of GST/HST/PST/QST, Payroll, T-Slips (T4, T4A, T5, T3 etc.), All quick books entries for all divisions must only be 1 month in arrears, up to date bookkeeping is mandatory
~· Leverage bank accounts when making bill payments
~· Complete reviews and audits for all T2 & US tax filing due dates
~· Responsible for weekly banking preparation and obtain owner sign off as required
~· Responsible for completing payroll entries and providing pay stubs to all employees on Fridays or earlier but not later
~· Monitor government tax changes to avoid payroll issues, HST issues and all other tax issues
~· Responsible for completing weekly budgetary banking
~· Work with auditor to complete BMIC yearly audit by preparing file for review
~· All missed payments or issues with finance in its entirety are to be escalated to management immediately
~· Answer/direct calls/faxes/email and mail in a timely, courteous, and professional manner that is finance related
~· Responsible for picking up mail and pick up & drop off to lawyer's office when back up is away
~· Audit printer invoices / paper count quarterly
~· Credit Card Reconciliations
~· Mortgage Commission files uploading via MI portal
~· Handling all billing disputes
~· Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field is required for this position
~ CPA, CGA, CA designation would be considered an asset
~ Minimum of 5 years' experience in a general accounting field and in developing spreadsheet and/or database applications for financial analysis and reporting
~5 years plus experience with policies and procedures governing accounts payable and receivable
~ Experience and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability
~ Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, etc.
~ Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications, as well as proficiency in spreadsheet applications/formulas and ability to prepare financial records using financial software applications (e.g. Must own a vehicle and have full access at all times
~· Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
