Meat Manager to join our Food Division team at our
Orchards Food Store located in Edmonton, Alberta.

What you'll do:The Meat Manager will prepare, administer and manage the sales margins, expenses, inventory and spend of the meat department.

Ensure a positive customer experience by offering a friendly greeting and engaging with customers with a high-level of product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions.


  • Responsible for the overall operations of the Meat Department
  • Ensure adherence to the departmental budget.
  • Oversee daily operations in the Meat department to maintain excellent customer experience
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department
  • Ensure the Meat department is appropriately merchandised including tagging and pricing accuracy
  • Maintain customer standards by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department
  • Ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed
  • Provide strong leadership and support to team members within the department

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Post-secondary education in related field is an asset
  • 3 years experience within a meat department
  • Leadership experience is considered an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
