Your day-to-day

  • Conduct general site performance analyses on a regular basis (quarterly, monthly, weekly, or daily as needed);
  • Conduct specific adhoc analyses as required by the operations teams;
  • Consult operations teams to understand and characterize downtime and underperformance;
  • Prepare and present analysis results to operations;
  • Participate in the writing/review of operations reports;
  • Participate in the development of performance analysis and reporting tools;
  • Participate in the development of energy models to better detect, quantify and aggregate underperformance;
  • Implement data acquisition and storage solutions from Historian or SCADA systems;
  • Program, test, debug, and monitor the execution of data acquisition, calculation and storage scripts;
  • Participate in the development of Machine Learning algorithms;
  • Participate in the due diligence process for asset acquisitions (analysis of production and availability data, etc.);
  • Support project development teams as needed (contract review, analysis, etc.);
  • Any other related tasks

Your skills, our requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position or a combination of relevant training and experience;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both oral and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis
  • Experience with programming languages for data analysis such as Matlab or Python;
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau is an asset;
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of communication systems and SCADA is an asset.

Additional considerations:

  • The position is based at the company's head office located in Longueuil (Quebec), or Vancouver
  • This position is a P1 level.
- occasional travel may take place mainly within North America;
