Position:
Supported Child Development Worker - Temporary, Part-Time
(ending March 31, 2025, with possibility for extension)
***
Location:Current Assignment: Yukon Children's Centre, School Age Program**
(2123 Yukon Crescent, Burnaby)
Salary:
$23.00/hour (under contract with BC Centre for Ability)
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week + 2 hours per month for meetings
40 hours per week during school breaks
Qualifications:
Current ECE or ECE Assistant License to practice
Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
Required criminal record search
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous work experience in childcare environment
Working knowledge of child growth and development
Ability to work with children that require extra support
Ability to implement strategies identified in a child service plan
Specifications:
Six-month probation period for new hires (3 months trial period for
existing permanent employees)
