Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE JOB:


The Department of Finance, Office of the Chief Operating Officer owns the lifecycle of America's Department of Finance (DFIN) business management, transformation, regulatory and control activities including strategic planning and program management, budgeting and costs, management routines, regulatory coordination and reviews, new product reviews, resolution planning, risk and control activities.

We support all the sub-business units for DFIN and report to the Chief Financial Officer of the Americas.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
This role will sit within the Department of Finance's Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will report to the Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Finance

  • This role serves a critical project management and governance role, ensuring that interal management commitments and Regulators are completed accurately and on time
  • Be a highimpact communicator within and across relevant teams, providing context to leaders and stakeholders, so that they are informed, empowered to make good decisions, and solve problems
  • Provide assistance through the development and maintenance of the COO book of work
  • Negotiate with internal stakeholders to ensure that due dates are achievable and agreed upon by all parties
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program status
  • Ensure that metrics reported are consistent; proactively identify and solve any discrepancies
  • Assist in developing materials and agendas for regular touchpoint meetings
  • Ensure proactive management of deliverables such that risks/issues are escalated promptly to allow for timely remediation and delivery of the program as scheduled
  • Crossfunctional Facilitation: Develop trust across the team, synthesize multiple points of view, and build consensus on strategic direction; all in an impartial and professional way
  • Identify areas for improvement and participate in process reengineering efforts

Must Have:

  • Program and/or project management experience and presentation/communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent priorities and adapt as necessary
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills with ability to deepen relationships and build partnerships across the business and key functional support areas
  • Passion for working in a crossfunctional environment with a demonstrated ability to work with a range of partners across the organization to handle expectations and drive alignment
  • A highly collaborative approach you care less about who did it than how it got done
  • You take deep pride in shared outcomes, and you really believe the whole is greater than the sum of the parts when it comes to team efforts
  • Great followup skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask you love to close the loop
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills an ability to break down a problem into the most critical parts and facilitate good decision making
  • A knack for structured and analytical thinking an ability to connect the dots between many disparate pieces of information to understand the full picture, and explain it simply
  • A love of driving alignment leaving personal agenda at the door
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • 3+ years of direct, relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • High proficiency in English

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQLA
  • Previous experience in a financial services or consulting firm
  • French proficiency
