About the position

We're seeking a Claims Assistant I to join our expanding team.

  • Prepare forms and correspondence for insurance clients, vendors, and legal representatives.
  • Organize file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
  • Provide various administrative assistance like photocopying, scanning, etc.
  • Initiate new claims and assign suitable claims adjusters.
  • Handle, organize, categorize, and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Manage payments on claim files.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement to management.
  • Welcome customers, when necessary.
  • Office presence required (minimum 2 days per week).

Your qualifications

  • High School or College Diploma with business/administration training or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • 3 months to 1 year of work background.
  • Consistent high-level performance in terms of work accuracy and volume.
  • Effective communication skills focusing on customer service.
  • Proficient computer skills or training in standard office applications including strong data entry abilities.
  • No prior Canadian work experience needed but must be eligible to work in Canada.
